All the hard work we did in the Spring should be paying off now that June is here, but there is still some maintenance to do. You will need to prune and shape shrubs and trees from their Spring growth spurts, add mulch to beds where needed, decorate with Summer annuals, and, of course, do your routine grass mowing.
Along with your weekly mowing, you should continue to weed and fertilize your lawn and apply insect and grub control. Avoid the temptation to use chemical-laden products that are readily available at those big-box stores – they are harmful to the environment, pets, and people.
At Native Design Landscaping, we use only eco-friendly products on lawns and gardens and, to enhance the biodiversity of our region, use only native and non-invasive plants. We use all-natural based fertilizers and plant foods with an I.P.M. approach to reduce the use of pesticides.
It is possible to enjoy a healthy, lush lawn and bountiful flower beds without using chemicals. Feel free to contact us to learn more about how it can be done. We also offer other services like:
- Lawn mowing
- Year-round weed, feed, & insect control
- Pruning and shaping of shrubs and trees
- Planting and decorating with annuals and perennials
- Landscape grading to control drainage
